In The Community

At J+J/Invision  supporting our community is a top priority. This is where we live, work and play.  We would not be here without the support of our people, we strive to be good stewards in our community and we want to give back as much as possible both socially and environmentally.

Social Involvement

J+J/Invision is a proven leader in the community through the support of numerous local initiatives, fundraisers and awareness campaigns. While J+J/Invision’s management group supports these activities, it is often our associates that show us the need and lead the way in making this involvement possible.

- Annual United Way Campaign

  • During the past 15 years, J+J/Invision and all associates have contributed over $2 million to the local United Way Chapter, the most per capita of any business in the carpet industry.

- Boy Scouts of America

  • J+J/Invision partnered with local Eagle Scout Troop 98 to construct stairs leading down to the J+J Wetlands. The stairs allow employees and people in the community to access the wetlands and enjoy nature, while offering the Scout Troop an opportunity to complete a project as a group.

- Junior Achievement

  • Many J+J/Invision employees are actively involved in the local Junior Achievement program. Children ranging from kindergarten to high school are taught the value of business and economics by J+J/Invision volunteers.
  • Former CEO, Jim Jolly, was named to the Junior Achievement Business Hall of Fame in March 2009.

- Foundation for Interior Design Education Research (FIDER)

- Boys and Girls Club

- Buddy Program with Big Brothers Big Sisters of NW Georgia Mountains

- Fellowship of Christian Athletes

- Habitat for Humanity

- Salvation Army

- University System of Georgia (Board of Regents)

- Westwood Elementary Readers on Wheels

  Environmental Action

Since 1991, J+J/Invision has pursued an ambitious, wide-ranging effort at our corporate campus, in the community and among all associates to encourage and support working and thinking with sustainability and environmental concerns in mind. This endeavor goes beyond the typical “green” business initiatives. It is more than an effort to create a good deed here and there, it is a mindset that can be carried into the employees’ everyday lives and spread to their families.

- Associate Recycling Program
  • On-site recycling containers that allow all associates the convenience to bring recyclable materials from home including plastics, paper, aluminum, glass and electronics.
- Adopt-A-Mile Program

- Conasauga River Alliance

- J+J/Invision Wetlands Conservancy

- J+J/Invision created a 20 acre wetlands conservancy to collect run-off storm water from our campus and surrounding businesses. This wetlands area was donated to the City of Dalton.
