TECHNICAL DATA
Freeze-Thaw Stable: Test to 15 º F.
Maximum Shelf Life: One year at 70 º F
Container Size: 4 gallons (US)
Color: Cream
TYPICAL COVERAGE
Minimum trowel notch size is 1/8″ × 1/8" spaced at 1/16’ V or U notch. Yield approximately 8 square yards per gallon. Rough concrete surfaces and heavily textured carpet backs may require trowels with deeper notches, example: 1/8″ × 3/16" spaced at 1/8". Full and complete coverage of the carpet back must be obtained while maintaining full coverage of the floor.
OPEN TIME
Carpet should be laid into adhesive while the adhesive is wet. Very dense, non-porous sub floors (such as terrazzo, resilient, steel, etc.) will require approximately 10 minutes of open-time to allow proper adhesive moisture evaporation.
FLAMMABILITY CERTIFICATION CLASS A
Meets NFPA – Class A and UBC – Class I Fire rating as determined by the ASTM E-84. It conforms to standard established in the Hill-Burton Act. Comparable test UL723, NFPA No. 255, and UE No. 42-I.
CLEAN UP
Wet adhesive may be removed with warm soapy water. Dampen white cotton toweling and blot to remove (do not rub). Dry adhesive may be removed using the same dampen and blot technique with safety solvent.
LIMITATIONS
For professional use only.
DIRECTIONS
Apply adhesive with the correct notch trowel. Apply adhesive to an area of such size that the carpet can be laid into the adhesive while it is wet. Once carpet is laid into adhesive, eliminate any buckles or trapped air by smoothing the carpet, using a 2’ section of a carpet core. Roll the carpet both directions with the appropriate roller to ensure that 100% adhesive coverage of the carpet back is obtained.
SITE CONDITIONS
The floor temperature must be a minimum of 65 º F and the RH (relative humidity) a maximum or 65 º F. These conditions must be maintained a minimum of 48 hours prior to installation and continually maintained 24 hours per day, 7 days per week and at least 72 hours following completion of the installation. Floor must be a sound, clean, smooth and even plane. It should be free of dust, depressions, protrusions, all paint, existing adhesive, curing agents, parting compounds, oil, grease, and any other contaminant that may prevent the required adhesion of the carpet system backing the floor.
