At J+J/Invision, we have produced our own solution dyed nylon since 1991 to control the color, quality, and appearance retention of our carpet products. We were one of the first mills to extrude our own nylon, which is now branded Encore® SD Ultima® and featured exclusively in select J+J/Invision products. Trilobal Construction
Though proper carpet color selection is important in masking soiling, Encore SD Ultima® is specifically engineered to minimize the visual effects of soiling by decreasing the surface area to which dirt may cling. The trilobal construction also helps to refract light, creating more vibrant, saturated colors.
Exceptional Colorfastness
We add color to the fiber during the extrusion process. Because the it is an integral part of the fiber, the color will not wear out or “walk out." The color in our fiber also holds up exceptionally well to UV light, atmospheric contaminants, and harsh cleaning agents. It will last and look better longer. And that is why we warrant the colorfastness of Encore® SD Ultima® fiber for the life of the carpet.
Good Environmental Impact
Because Encore® SD Ultima® contains a minimum of 20% recycled nylon content, we use millions fewer pounds of virgin nylon feedstock each year. This is great news for the environment! We don’t plan on stopping at 20%; we continually work to increase the amount of recycled nylon content in Encore® SD Ultima®, while maintaining the superior performance and quality assurance that our customers expect from J+J/Invision.
